The Brantford Lapidary and Mineral Society has been hosting 6+ field trips each year. Once our minimum number of BLMS club member registrants is reached we can open up our trips to all CCFMS club members. This way you don’t need to join our club to do our field trips; while we like to have a strong membership, we want you to be active in your own local clubs.
Our remaining 2024 field trips are:
1) Sat Sept 28: Fishscale Peristerite and UV Minerals Field Trip to Perth & Parham, Ontario
Personal Note: Fishscale Peristerite is rare and it can be an incredibly gemmy Feldspar.
This trip does have a nominal booking fee of $5 per Rock Hound plus entrance fees for each location. $10 & $40.el

2) Sat/Sun Oct 12/13: Herkimer Mountain
This trip does have a nominal booking fee of $5 per Rock Hound plus a $100USD entrance fee (bring cash) per day. This is a fairly new mine with excellent reported results.
