March Meeting – Crystals

Our Presenter, Inna Lykova, will explain to us the different shapes of crystals and their aggregates. She will also explain how they can help us decipher the origin and geological history of mineral specimens.

Inna Lykova is a research scientist and acting curator at the Canadian Museum of Nature which she joined in 2019 after working at the Fersman Mineralogical Museum, Moscow, Russia, for six years. She is the lead author or co-author of over 70 papers and has described 40 new mineral species.

Please note: Our annual Club auction is taking place on Saturday, April 12th So everything can be properly catalogued, the March meeting is your last chance to consign any items you may want to pass along.
